‘Do Whatever He tells You.’

The Servants of the Two Hearts, was founded in Melbourne, Australia in August

2005, as a Private Association of Christ’s Faithful, striving to be recognized in

the church as a religious Institute of Consecrated Life.

After a period of exploration, prayer and discernment the three founding women

were attracted to a consecrated life, within the church, reflecting the Spirituality

of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The charism and spirituality of the community looks initially to the words

uttered by Mary at the Wedding Feast of Cana ‘Do Whatever He tells You.’ The

unique oneness of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, as lived out in the Gospels

permeates every aspect of community life.

At its inception the Servants of the Two Hearts served the Church, through St.

Peter’s Catholic Parish, Clayton. Here members were called to utilize their God

given gifts and talents. Involvement in these areas and in varied pastoral

activities, further inspired the members to embrace Hospitality as a fourth vow.
